Wow, what a great Conference!  Everyone I spoke with told me that they got so much out of it and that they were looking forward to attending next year!  I was amazed at the number of first timers we had there.

Eeva served on the planning committee of this year's conference that took place on October 28. We are looking forward to working with her to help guide the organization as we provide support to people who stutter across Canada and plan next year's conference.

Walk/Run for Stuttering Awareness Sunday September 24

walkathonStill going strong in its sixth year, the Annual 1k/5k Walk and Run event is on this Sunday in North Toronto. Proceeds go towards the Speech and Stuttering Institute, a Toronto clinic that provides stuttering treatment to all who need it. A $25 fee gets you a t-shirt, entertainment and a barbecue lunch the day of the event. Have fun and contribute to a worthy cause! Go to the website for more info. 

Attending the 2017 NSA Conference in Texas

ConferenceA workshop at the 2017 NSA Conference Kim Block attended the 2017 National Stuttering Association Conference in Dallas, Texas. Her husband David and their two children also attended. One of the reasons she was there was to promote her new children's book about stuttering, Adventures of a Stuttering Superhero. Kim will be the keynote speaker at the Canadian Stuttering Association conference in October.
