Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

brain

A new program at The Speech and Stuttering Institute in Toronto is being offered to benefit people who have challenges with speech.  The Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program will be facilitated by Occupational Therapists, Todd Tran and Amanda Wu, and attended by Dr. Robert Kroll, Executive Director of The Speech and Stuttering Institute.

The Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program is an 8-week program that combines the practice of mindfulness meditation with the tools of cognitive therapy. MBCT has been clinically proven to be effective in the reduction of stress and anxiety and in the promotion of an overall sense of physical and mental well-being, which can be beneficial for people who have difficulties with speech and stuttering.

Please register for the free Information Session to be held on January 20, 2014 at 6 pm, or contact the MBCT facilitators for more details:  Todd Tran, Occupational Therapist and former graduate of The Speech and Stuttering Institute, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
